mandoyi
Mandoyi is the youngest of six children. Her brother, Fiston, is also at the Center. She is 10 years old. Both her father and mother were sick with AIDS for a long time and eventually died. When Mandoyi and Fiston lost their parents they went to live with their older brother where they were treated very badly––like servants for their brother, his wife and children. Mandoyi wasn’t allow to attend school and instead was made to cook for the family and work in the garden.
Her older brother, Fiston, eventually found Mama Sabuli and asked if he and his younger siblings could live at the Children’s Center. Joining the Children’s Center has transformed their lives. Mandoyi loves living here and loves her new family. She is a good student at school, a very good cook and proud of her own unique way of cooking as she shares it with others. When she becomes older she would like to be a teacher because she likes the way teachers in her local school have taught her, and she wants to do the same for others.
Mandoyi asks that you pray for her studies so that all goes well so that she can achieve her dream of becoming a teacher.
